1950’s Sears Sea and Stars Swimsuit

This beautiful vintage Sears “Sea Stars” swimsuit was  made in the USA and  dates from 1950. The size tag is no longer attached so please see measurements below. I would say this is probably a size small. This suit is in truly fantastic vintage condition - almost as good as new for wearing or for collection!!
The elasticated vertical seams at the sides and back ensure a figure hugging fit. The elastic is in very good condition - not stretched out at all. The bust has shaped cups and is lined. There is a small flaw at the seam (see photo) since it’s over 70 years old that’s to be expected. There are very few of these around now and they are getting harder to find.

Shoulder to underarm 5 inches
Chest 13 inches
Torso 16 inches
Front length 21 inches
Lower hips 11.5 inches
Cup size is a B/C
