RARE TO FIND ANTIQUE METAL NEVADA HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSE
which was purchased in 1915, and actually says "
HUNTING & FISHING LICENSE #185 - EUREKA COUNTY NEVADA - .00 - EXPIRES FEB. 29, 1916
" which was used long ago in
EUREKA COUNTY, NEVADA
THESE ANTIQUE NEVADA "HUNTING & FISHING" LICENSES ARE EXTREMELY RARE TODAY...NOTE THE VERY LOW ISSUE #185 WHICH MAKES THIS LICENSE UNIQUE TO ONE PERSON BACK IN 1916
WHAT MAKES "EUREKA COUNTY" EXONUMIA SO RARE IS THAT TODAY IS THAT IT IS ONE OF THE MOST SPARSELY POPULATED COUNTIES IN AMERICA.....TODAY THERE ARE ONLY 1987 PEOPLE IN EUREKA COUNTY.......THAT IS FOR THE ENTIRE COUNTY !!!!
THERE WERE ACTUALLY MORE RESIDENTS IN "EUREKA COUNTY" BACK IN 1916....BECAUSE OF MINING CAMPS....BUT TODAY, MANY OF THE TOWNS WERE THIS RESIDENT LIVED ARE ACTUALLY GHOST TOWNS TODAY......SO MAKES THIS OLD HUNTING LICENSE VERY VERY COLLECTIBLE 106 YEARS LATER
The towns back in Eureka County in 1916 include........Eureka......Beowawe........Palisade.......Ruby Hill.......Pinto.......Vanderbilt.....Sulpher Springs Station......Safford......Romano.....Grubbs Well.....Mineral Hill.....Box Springs......Goodwin.....Columbia.....Roberts Creek Station....White......a majority of those are ghost towns today
Antique Nevada hunting fishing license is
aluminum
metal, round scalloped shaped, about 40mm x 45mm in size , with slot for fob or suspender strap, and it has condition issues with pits and blisters...but it seems pretty much complete, and it is readable. (please see pictures in gallery) Yes, this was found in region, has minor pitting....but this nicer than most......most found are very rough.
Gallery pictures should give you all the information you need.
Terrific and
